TUESDAY TALK

Dear Colleagues:

This week, we want to draw your attention to the open seats on the United Faculty Executive Board. This is an opportunity to serve, or nominate someone to serve, as a representative on our Executive Board so that all voices are heard. See below for details

OPEN SEATS ON THE UF EXECUTIVE BOARD

According to our UF Elections Handbook, when an E-Board vacancy becomes available or prior to the end of a term of office, the UF will make an announcement in its newsletter and will include a nomination form and a timeline for submitting candidacy.

Faculty who wish to submit their candidacy must deliver to the UF office (DVC- FO-121) a completed paper nomination form, including signatures from ten UF members (or when using an electronic nomination form, the names and email addresses of ten UF members who have agreed to support the candidate’s nomination sent via email to uf@uf4cd.org), before the posted deadline, which is noon on February 25, 2025.

Vacant positions beginning in Fall 2025:

Two DVC Full-time seats; 2 Part-time seats

One LMC Full-time seat; 1 Part-time seat

The election timeline is as follows:

February 11-25: UF accepting nominations for leadership positions for vacant and expiring terms February 25: Deadline to submit nomination form with signatures from 10 UF members by 12pm February 26: Announce candidates on UF Update with a picture and brief bio

February 27: Ballot Opens

March 13:Ballot Closes at 12pm

EVALUATION TRAININGS

There are a few ways to participate in evaluation trainings: in person on any campus (register in GROW4CD); synchronously on Zoom (register in GROW4CD); or asynchronously in Canvas.

Dates and times for in-person and Zoom meetings will be published in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
