Tuesday Talk: Open Seats on E-Board

Dear Colleagues: 

This is a reminder that the UF is accepting nominations for Fall 2025 leadership positions until tomorrow, February 25, at noon.

OPEN SEATS ON THE UF EXECUTIVE BOARD (E-BOARD) 

According to our UF Elections Handbook, when an E-Board vacancy becomes available or prior to the end of a term of office, the UF will make an announcement in its newsletter and will include a nomination form and a timeline for submitting candidacy. (I think we could get rid of this section since we’ve already stated it before). 

Vacant positions beginning in Fall 2025: 

Two DVC Full-time seats; 2 Part-time seats 

One LMC Full-time seat; 1 Part-time seat 

Faculty who wish to submit their candidacy must deliver to the UF office (DVC- FO-121) a completed nomination form, including signatures from ten UF members (or when submitting electronically the names and email addresses of ten UF members who have agreed to support the candidate’s nomination sent via email to uf@uf4cd.org), before the posted deadline, which is noon on February 25, 2025. 

The election timeline is as follows: 

February 11-25: UF accepting nominations for leadership positions for vacant or expiring terms February 25: Nomination form (with signatures from 10 UF members) deadline by 12pm February 26: UF Update announcing candidates with a picture and brief bio 

February 27: Ballot Opens 

March 13: Ballot Closes at 12pm
